چکیده

Abstract Latency mitigation is crucial to increasing operational success, ease of use, and product quality in telemanipulation tasks when remotely guiding complex robotic systems. Hardware limitations have created a gap performance optimization due large teleoperation delays, which machine learning techniques could fill with lower time, improved performance, reduced operating costs. Hidden Markov models (HMMs), particular, been explored alleviate the issue their relative use. A mixed reality-enhanced intuitive framework for immersive telerobotic welding presented. The proposed system implements an HMM generative algorithm learn predict human-welder motion enable low-cost solution, combining smoothing forecasting minimize time delay. predicted simple implement, can be used as general solution solve accurate. More specifically, it provides 66% RMSE reduction compared application without HMM, may further optimized by up 38%. Experiments show lets humans conduct tele-robot-assisted better performance.

Intelligent Control of Modular Robotic Welding Cell

Although robotic machines are routinely used for welding, such machines do not normally incorporate intelligent capabilities. We are studying the general problem of formulating usable levels of intelligence into welding machines. From our perspective, an intelligent machine should: incorporate knowledge of the welding process, know if the process is operating correctly, know if the weld it is m...

Mixed Reality for Intuitive Photo-Realistic 3D-Model Generation

Appropriate user-interfaces are mandatory for an intuitive and efficient digitisation of real objects with a hand-held scanning device. We discuss two central aspects involved in this process, i.e., view-planning and navigation. We claim that the streaming generation of the 3D model and the immediate visualisation best support the user in the view-planning task. In addition, we promote the mixe...

Object Oriented and Distributed Software Applied to Industrial Robotic Welding

Using robots with industrial welding operations is common, but far from being a solved technological process. The problems are with the robots (still in early stages, difficult to use and program by regular operators), the welding process (complex and not really well known) and the Human-Machine interfaces (non natural, really not working). In this paper we discuss these problems and present a ...

On Virtual and Mixed Reality Intelligent Environments

This special issue addresses core topics on Virtual and Mixed Reality Intelligent Environments. The conventional definitions for virtual and mixed reality systems, e.g., in [1-3], do not require that such environments should be intelligent or even reactive. However, most useful applications of virtual reality can be considered intelligent in the sense that the environment changes and reacts to ...
